TANA New York Adhoc committee team is grateful for another opportunity to spread join by giving back to community in holiday season. Provided school bags, Indian food dishes pizzas, supplies to underprivileged kids through VFW (Veteran of Foreign Wars)
A donation of ₹10 lakhs was provided to Balabharati School in Orvakal Mandal, Draksharamam District, on December 10. This school, run by the Podupu Lakshmi Collective, supports students who have lost their parents. The donation was facilitated by Potluri Ravi, a TANA Board of Directors member and Chairman of the Kurnool NRI Foundation, with support from the TANA Foundation.
As part of Thanksgiving donations Raliegh TANA team participated in feeding 2000 underprivileged and homeless individuals. Also assisted DRM in pack groceries , Food bags & distributing clothes.
The Ad-Hoc Committee, along with young volunteers, provided all necessary facilities for the donors, ensuring the smooth execution of the event. Several individuals participated voluntarily, donating blood, which was the highlight of the event. A total of 30 pints of blood were collected, which will be distributed to those in need
The Telugu Association of North America (TANA) New England Chapter successfully conducted a Toy and Gift Drive in collaboration with the JAGO World Charity.
The initiative aimed to bring joy to orphaned children in the New England area. Donors contributed toys and gifts worth $1,500, which were distributed to children aged 3 months to 14 years. The event was organized under the leadership of Vijay Bezawada, Arun Chowdhary, and Gopi Nekkalapudi, with support from the New England Regional Coordinator and American School Committee member Krishna Prasad Sompalli.
he TANA Cultural Competition series, organized by the Telugu Association of North America (TANA) since August, has reached its final stage. The grand finale was held on November 2 in Raleigh, North Carolina, with great fanfare.
TANA has been working for nearly half a century to promote unity among Telugu-speaking people. It connects those who have settled in America with newcomers, while also preserving and passing on Indian culture and traditions to future generations. TANA plays a significant role in celebrating Telugu language, festivals, events, and cultural heritage, ensuring that Telugu identity thrives on American soil.
Under the leadership of the Telugu Association of North America (TANA), the North America Throwball Federation (NATF) successfully organized a Throwball Tournament. The national-level men's and women's throwball tournament took place on October 26 in Dalton, where athletes participated enthusiastically.
The event was conducted under the guidance of TANA Sports Coordinator Nagamalleswara Panchumarthi, with the support of NATF President Manugondi, Vice President Vasanta Kavuri, and North America ITF Vice President Tejesh Rajappa.
TANA Mid Atlantic team successfully organized cultural competitions on October 26 in Philadelphia. The event included singing and dance competitions, drawing enthusiastic participation from over 150 children and adults.
The competitions, held in both classical and non classical categories, received an overwhelming response. Over 600 attendees were present, cheering and encouraging the participants.
TANA sponsored the India Mela India event.
